The second floor bathroom shower was conceived as a minimalist space fabricated from corrugated metal. Yet somewhere in the process, the master builder, John McDonough made the project his own, creating a space that is like a Mexican folk art piece. While this looks simple, it was actually complex to build. John worked like a tinsmith, cutting all the small parts by hand. He made the design elements more decorative… using triangles to frame in the faucet, showerhead, as well as the shower curtain rod.
